Omoto Shrine is located on Mt. Omoto, which is named "Omoto" because it was the place where Hachiman Okami was worshiped before being enshrined on Mt. Ogura.
This sacred place is the "inner shrine" of Usa Jingu Shrine, where Hime-no-Okami (the Three Goddesses) enshrined in the Nino-Goten of Usa Jingu Shrine is manifested. There is no main shrine, only a worship hall, and the area beyond the Karasu-i, which stands behind the worship hall, is a forbidden area.
Every year on 4/29, the Omoto Shrine Annual Festival is held, attracting many worshippers.
There are three trailheads: the Shokakuji Route, the Usa Shrine Route, and the Nishiyashiki Route. However, currently only the Shokakuji Route is maintained, so we do not recommend using the other routes.
